Avibras Guara 4WS

Recognized worldwide for the excellence and quality of its products and defense systems, Avibras Indústria Aeroespacial will officially present the prototype of the Guará 4WS 4X4 vehicle, version for police operations, in LAAD Security (Public and Corporate Security International Exhibition) from April 12th to 14th, at Riocentro – Exhibition & Convention Center, Rio de Janeiro.

The exhibition gathers national and international companies which supply technology, equipment, and services for Public Security, Police Forces, Special Forces, Law Enforcement, Homeland Security and security managers from major companies, service and infrastructure concessions from Brazil and Latin America.


This is the first time Avibras takes part in this event and believes this moment as ideal to apply its experience of more than 50 years in the Defense market into the Security sector. Avibras objective is spread its activities in order to fill market niches, currently served by other suppliers, with latest technology developed and produced in Brazil.

The prototype of the new Guará 4WS 4X4 vehicle will be highlighted at the Avibras booth, located at the Hall 4 (area A-30). This vehicle, entirely designed by Avibras, holds all the technology applied in its successfully and worldwide recognized projects for military employment. As a result, Avibras releases a vehicle with excellent level of ballistic protection and quick increase and decrease of protection due to the modular concept applied in the project. The great agility and extreme mobility with four-wheel drive 4x4 and four wheel srteering are the vehicle special features which are fundamental for off-road and urban operation.

These features combine the high national content, including the chassis designed by Avibras and manufactured in Brazil. It ensures the product’s excellent cost and also the warranty of supply and after sales services of a 100% Brazilian company.

Versatility
- Taking five crewmen properly equipped, Guará 4WS main purpose is the tactical employment for security forces special operations in urban areas: fighting organized crime and security vans and bank robbery, as well as the combat to drug trafficking. This versatile multi-task vehicle may be also employed in rural areas against armed conflicts. It is also available in a personal transport version, with capacity for 10 crewmen, and another version for Enviromental Police and Civil Defense application.

Besides the Guará vehicle, Avibras will also present at LAAD Security its concepts for Command and Control (C2) technology applied in police vehicles, as well as technologies related to the policeman crew digitalization for tactical actions.
