In order to reinforce the commitment to conduct its business with integrity and meet the national and international anti-corruption standards and policies, Avibras took part, on May 18th, in a conference on procedures for compliance and classification for the information in the framework of Law on Access to Information (LAI), at SAIN (International Affairs Secretariat) in Brasília. The company was represented by the associates employees Fernando Mandaji (Finance), Graziela Marques (Communication and Ethics Committee), and Paulo Henrique Gabriel (Sales).

The conference aims at presenting to the exporting companies using the resources of the Official Export Credits Programs, new procedures for identification and prevention of practices of corruption acts during export credit operations with official supports.

The procedures meet specially the recommendations and commitments undertaken at the OCDE (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development) scope.


The SAIN is a specific and unique Ministry of Finance agency, directly subordinate to the Finance Minister, which deals with issues on the Brazilian economy related to other countries, economic blocs, and international agencies. The Secretariat provides specialized technical assistance of issues on international economy with the aim of defending the Brazil’s financial and economic interests, strengthening its participation on international decision-making process, in order to contribute to the sustainable development of the country.

Among its numerous responsibilities, the organisation evaluates and monitors the credit policies and official export guarantees, provided by the direct and indirect administration, besides coordinating the Finance Ministry actions in this field. It also takes part in the COFIG (Export Assurance and Financing Committee) decisions related to the concession of export financial assistance with resources from PROEX (Export Financing Program) and Union’s provision of guarantees, supported by the FGE (Export Guarantee Fund).

Improvement – For the Export Credit Insurance general coordinator, Guilherme Laux, of SAIN, the participation of export companies, as Avibras, and financial banks at the conference is essential for these policies improvement. “This feedback is important so we can pursue with this subject”.

The Operations Director of the ABGF (Brazilian Guarantees and Fund Managements Agency) Vitor Sawczuk said this interaction with the companies is very worthwhile, mainly on the Law on Access to Information aspects.

The ABGF is a public company linked to the Ministry of Planning, Development and Management which manages the guarantee funds and provides assurance to the risk operations in areas of great social and economic interest. Its mission is to contribute to the Brazilian export dynamic performance, infrastructure projects financing, guarantee offers and official guarantee funds management in Brazil, supporting its market performance.
