The President of Avibras, Sami Hassuani, reinforced during the coordination meeting held on Tuesday, July 23rd that Avibras is fully committed to conduct business with integrity, effectively applying its Code of Conduct and improving the compliance program with policies, procedures and effective anti-corruption practices.

One year after its release, the Code has undergone a revision and a new version will be made available by the Human Resources Department to all employees, third parties and suppliers starting this week,. The Code is also available on the intranet and Avibras website by clicking on the Corporate Governance links. It is of vital importance to Avibras that everyone understands the corporate values set out in the code and performs their professional duties in accordance with the Code. In case of doubts, the company advises everyone to speak to their superiors (area manager) or the Ombudsman.
During the meeting, Mr. Hassuani highlighted to all managers that the code brings in the good practices established by Internal Procedures (PIs) of the organization. "We brought together in a single document the standards of ethics and conduct that are applied and expected in the daily work of employees, regardless of hierarchical level," he said.

In addition, the Code of Conduct is intended for any third-party collaborators, suppliers, community and all publics in which Avibras relates. The managers have already received a hardcopy of the Code and signed a term, taking up their commitment to stick to and respect the Code in all their activities in the company.

According to Mr. Hassuani, a solid, ethical and transparent company maintains the continuous focus on innovation and competitiveness as well as greater credibility in the market, increasing the level of investment.

Committee - During the meeting, Mr. Hassuani highlighted the establishment of the Ethics and Conduct Committee, made up of employees from strategic areas. The committee is responsible for the implementation of the anti-corruption agenda in the company, the management and periodic review of the Code of Conduct, and also responsible for training on the topic, among others.

The Vice-President of the Committee, Márcio Santos (Corporate Governance Director) spoke out about the importance of incorporating sustainability in the business and on the work developed by Avibras with the Defense and Security Program of UK International Transparency, which is responsible for the Anti-corruption Index of Defense Companies, assessing its transparency and the quality of its ethics and anti-corruption programs.

Governance – The Supplies and Materials Manager, Carlos Alberto Silva (GSM) closed the meeting with a brief explanation about the Introductory Principles for Corporate Governance Practices.
